Started his DJ career in Cyberjaya back in 2002 as a substitute DJ for a Treehaus Resident DJ in Cyberjaya. In the past, has worked as a bartender in Treehaus Cyberjaya and Zouk KL. It was then, while working for Zouk KL that really opened up his eyes and heart to DJing. Being exposed to the music and watching how international DJ's come and go, each with their own signature style of satisfying and working the crowd, leaving them wanting more, really made him want the same satisfaction of being cheered upon ,by being a DJ. From then on, his interest in dance music took hold of him as a person. That is when he realized his passion lies behind the deck. He started off at parties with the closest friends, armed with his equipment; he was often the appointed DJ. From then on, he slowly gain followers, who once experienced his music, would often ask him to play for a different crowd. One thing led to another, Max Afizz was a household name for most private parties in town. Eventually he moved to Vogue Bar Uptown and working behind the bar. Ergo, he was lucky enough to show of his DJ skills every weekend right after the resident DJ moved out. Having to work with the deck often, he got to experience with every genre, making him more musically skilled.Hitting the deck around KL and NORTHERN club such a LOFT UPSTAIRS (TWISTED TUESDAY), MAISON @ INITIAL PARTY, LOFT ZOUK @ SESSIONS, 3 KINGDOMS @ MONT KIARA, ATRIUM @ MELTDOWN, MARDI GRAS @ VIBRATION BLACKHOLE @ HARTAMAS, TREEHAUS@CYBERJAYA, GLO,PENANG@CHEMISTRY DEBUT, MAMBO,PENANG@MUSIQ MADNESS, RUM JUNGLE@ IPOH and UVNATION @ 1 UTAMA ROOFTOP PARTY. His sound was best describe as a driving tech house with a dash of nu skool techno elements. Had been playing alongside some finest local talents such a Terrence C, Desire, Dj Love, Ian Ross, Zaskar, Victor G etc. Not to forget with some international Djs like Benny Bennasi and Scott Project.
Currently working on his new project every Wednesday night called STEREOJUNKIES @ MAISON featuring upcoming local DJs
With his motto; no discrimination, either to the music genre or crowd he's playing, he's definitely someone to look out for, as a Dj and as a friend.
